The Svadhyaya 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, certified by Yoga Alliance, is an invitation for students and practitioners of all levels, backgrounds, and ages to engage in the conversation, practice and teaching of Yoga. Teacher training is an opportunity to dive deeper into your own personal growth and your love of all things yoga, or to become a yoga teacher. For over 10 years, Allison has created a solid foundation on how to teach yoga in a supportive environment to build your confidence as a yoga teacher. You do not need to want to teach in order to enjoy and grow through this program. We ask that students have at least one year of solid practice experience before joining the group to ensure that everyone gets the most out of the program as possible.

The Svadhyaya 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Fall 2018 program will run from September 7, 2018 through December 18, 2018. Please email Allison Sobel at for more information or an application. Space is limited! All training dates will be held at Purenergy Studio, 21 Plank Avenue, Paoli, PA 19301.

This training meets on the following Tuesday evenings, Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays listed below:

Tuesdays: 6:30pm – 9:00pm
Fridays 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Saturdays 8:15am – 4:15pm
Sundays 11:00am – 3:45pm

(plus one Sun. am or pm class)

Scholarship Award Program
Do you want to take a Yoga Teacher Training but do not have the financial resources to make it happen? You’re in luck. Svadhyaya 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training is offering a $1125 Scholarship for one lucky student! This means that you would only have to pay $1375! To enter to win the scholarship please write a one page essay on why you are deserving of the scholarship, how it would affect you, and what you would do with your certification. Email your essay to by June 1, 2018 to be entered. The winner will be selected in July! Good luck and happy writing!

  • Attend all dates or complete makeup homework for what you missed
  • Maintain daily journal & meditation practice
  • Practice a minimum of 20 classes with Allison Sobel or any of the approved teachers listed above
  • Take at least one yoga class that is not Vinyasa and write a one page report on the experience
  • Assist in a beginner yoga class
  • Assist 1 regularly scheduled yoga class
  • Teach one community class
  • Successfully complete a final written exam
  • Other projects and homework as assigned
