The Svadhyaya 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, certified by Yoga Alliance, is an invitation for students and practitioners of all levels, backgrounds, and ages to engage in the conversation, practice and teaching of Yoga. Teacher training is an opportunity to dive deeper into your own personal growth and your love of all things yoga, or to become a yoga teacher. Allison & Kate create a solid foundation on how to teach yoga in a supportive environment to build your confidence as a yoga teacher. You do not need to want to teach in order to enjoy and grow through this program. We ask that students have at least one year of solid practice experience before joining the group to ensure that everyone gets the most out of the program as possible.

The Art of Teaching & Taking the Seat of a Teacher · Yoga Anatomy · Philosophy: Yoga Sutras, The Bhagavad Gita · Proper Alignment Techniques · Asana Clinics · Hands on Assists and Adjustments · Therapeutics · Chakras · Meditation and Journaling · Pranayama · Sequencing and Theming Your Class · Conscious communication skills · Professional Practice & Ethics · Variations, Modifications and Contraindications · Pre/Post Natal Instruction

Join Allison Sobel, 500 E-RYT, YACEP® and Kate Goodyear E-RYT-200, and an extraordinary team of experienced teachers including:  Julia Paddison, Lisa Werny, Tiffany Pierson, Sarah Reilly, Sarah Treat, Carol Elia, & Marissa Paino. *All Anatomy Intensives are held with Adam Sobel, MD.

The Svadhyaya 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Fall 2017 program will run from September 8, 2017 through December 19, 2017. All training dates will be held at Purenergy Studio, 21 Plank Avenue, Paoli, PA 19301.

Tuesdays: 6:30pm – 9:00pm
Fridays 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Saturdays 8:15am – 4:15pm
Sundays 11:00am – 3:45pm

Requirements:

  • Attend all dates or complete makeup homework for what you missed
  • Maintain daily journal & meditation practice
  • Practice a minimum of 20 classes with Allison Sobel, Kate Goodyear, or any of the approved teachers listed above
  • Take at least one yoga class that is not Vinyasa and write a one page report on the experience
  • Assist 3 regularly scheduled yoga classes
  • Teach one community class
  • Successfully complete a final written exam
  • Other projects and homework as assigned
